The #1 Way To Know Whether Or Not You Are Doing The Right Thing

Know your values and everything else will fall into place.

Have you ever been in a situation where you are doing something that is supposed to be good for you; however, you can’t shake that weird feeling off? The feeling that something is “wrong”.

Right then and there, because that is your inner voice of wisdom or what I like to call “gut feeling” trying to tell you that you are going against what you believe in. You are compromising something you should not compromise, or giving time to something you shouldn’t be giving time to.

It’s your inner-self calling you back to your well-being.

In that moment don’t analyze, don’t try to convince yourself that you are doing what you’re supposed to be doing, don’t neglect that voice and think that there is no other option. On the contrary, calm your mind and listen closely, and ask yourself what doesn’t feel well, and why? And then listen some more, till it comes to you.

Because only then will you be able to understand your true feeling and then act towards making the situation right, right for you and no one else but you.

In that situation don’t listen to other people, only listen to your own inner voice- because no matter what everyone says, if it doesn’t feel right to you then it simply isn’t right.

We get stuck in the same job we hate for years and years because the salary says it’s right, the screwed-up economy says it’s right, our closest friends says it’s safe and right. But is it really? Is the salary worth the daily misery of going to a job you hate? Is the economy enough reason to kill your creativity and freedom? The answer is NO.

Nothing in life no matter how right it was in the eyes of others is worth doing if it simply doesn’t feel right to you.

I am repeating it because it’s a daily struggle, one that I personally used to go through on a daily basis, until I saw clearly that the only path to my own contentment is staying true to my values.

So now to recap, remember to Keep a quote mind, listen to your heart, and then have the courage to take action and change what you can.

“Let yourself be silently drawn by the strange pull of what you really love. It will not lead you astray.”

― Jalaluddin Rumi
