Announcement: Your Mind & Body Are Officially Married

Your mind and body are like two lovers, one can’t survive without the other. However, both can definitely cheat the other very easily; the mind can trick the body into acting all energetic and just jump around or make it act all slouchy and lazy. On the other hand, the body can trick the mind into believing anything the body wants, from lifting the mood up and feeling happy and bubbly to making it believe that you’re depressed, bored or sad.

So, how does that work?

Remember how you feel like every morning you wake up after the best and deepest night sleep ever, I bet you wake up singing with a huge grin on your face without knowing the reason why you’re so darn happy. This is your body sending positive messages to your brain telling it that you are well rested and relaxed.

Now, remember how you feel like whenever you spend too much time in front of the laptop slouched and hunched over the screen, I bet you feel bored and tired. This is also your body convincing your mind that you are actually bored out of your pants.

Body language is so important, use that to your advantage, practice happy moves and start using your body as a reminder that you are excited about life. For me personally, I snap my fingers with both hands, that is my happy move. Whenever a dull negative thought pops in my mind I snap my fingers, and like magic, I turn my focus away from that thought.

Now, let’s talk about the mind. It is an incredible, unstoppable, powerful machine that has the ability to shift realities, alter situations and control emotions. You are the operator of this machine, keep it well maintained at all times. There are three ways to make sure your machine is operating at its highest levels:

1- Meditation

It’s love, it’s peacefulness, it’s freedom, it’s decluttering the mind from all the thoughts that built up during the day to give it the space it needs.

2- Conscious Breathing

It’s keeping you grounded and granting your body it’s full need of oxygen during the day, hence increasing your energy levels by more than 90%.

3- Keeping a healthy body

Like I said before the mind and body are soulmates, a healthy body is a healthy mind. Keep yourself well hydrated, sleep well, and exercise. Lift your body up to its full potential to build a solid foundation for a powerful mind.
