How often do we tell the people we care about how much they mean to us? and why they mean this much to us? How often do we make sure we make enough time for them? How often do we stay in touch with them? Or simply say the word I love you!

I guess not that often right! We say life is busy, time flies, it’s hectic, we have so much on our plates. But really, why? Because all of these are not enough excuses not to make those we love feel loved.

We humans are social creatures, we need to feel a sense of belonging and be part of a solid support system, this is how we function and thrive.

Ancient humans had a healthier lifestyle than we have now in the so called “modern world” because of one thing only, they believed in the power of the tribe.

They had homogeneous relationships and they all worked together as a machine. They made sure all parts are well taken care of in order for the machine to operate smoothly and successfully.

They believed in the power of the group, in the power of moving all together towards a higher good… the good of the tribe.

We miss that now a day, individualism is at its peak. We think about ourselves and what we want to achieve for ourselves and not how we want to give back or touch the lives of others.

Humans are built to work together, grow together and love together. Don’t defy this purpose, focus on your own prosperity but let that depend on giving more than receiving.

“From what we get, we can make a living; what we give, however, makes a life.”

– Arthur Ashe
